Dear
Hope,
We just received Andrea & Chris' Wedding video, and I want to thank
you so much for being everywhere a Mother could not be on her daughters
Wedding Day!
Prior to the Wedding day, you always responded quickly to requests for
information and providing ideas and vendor references. One of the most
difficult things is an etiquette question - I had already read the "book"
interpretation of proper etiquette, but you were able to provide experience
and current trends, to help us feel comfortable with our choices.
As I was about to be escorted down the aisle, and I heard "Mom do
you have lotion for my ring finger?" (I was starting to panic - what
could I do at that point?) you came running up with hands extended, a
selection of four lotions, and asked Andrea "which do you want?"
As Andrea was being escorted down the aisle on her Father's arm and they
paused at the Baptismal Font, there you were crouching inconspicuously
from behind, straightening out Andrea's train.
And, while I was entertaining guests as Andrea & Chris exited the
Church into the limousine, you were there again, helping Andrea with her
train into the limousine.
At the reception, you calmed a very excited Groom by coordinating with
the hotel to ensure the Bridal Party, and especially Andrea and Chris,
got what they needed. You continued to circulate and kept everyone's needs
in mind. When Andrea mentioned her feet beginning to hurt, you presented
her with a pair of heavy socks to replace her shoes.
Although a Mother wants to be by her daughter's side to help, it is not
possible to be there all the time, or anticipate what all the needs may
be on the wedding day. The support you provided to all of us allowed us
to enjoy the day that much more, and know that everything was being attended
to. Thank you for being there when I could not!
Sincerely,
Connie McGuinness
